It’s widget time folks, and this time round we have two new additions, Domain Name Search and xCuts.
Domain Name Search [download] is a simple search bar that allows you to search for available domains on the net. There is no confirmation button nor any other options. Just enter the desired domain name and hope for a happy face.
Unfortunately, it only checks for .com domains, for it lacks any other configuration options. The widget is affiliated to GoDaddy.com from where you can directly register the domain. At version 1.0, this one’s gonna be right there in my dashboard should we choose to book smokingwindows.com.
xCuts [download] is a handy widget that displays a lot of shortcuts for Mac OS X. However, I don’t think it would have much use as the interface is a little slow and the organisation isn’t optimal. For learning new shortcuts, you would be better off reading up on many guides available on the wide web. However, keeping this around in your dashboard however won’t do much harm for the occasional shortcut hunt.
