Multiplex needs no introduction to SA readers. I’ve personally paraded it like it’s my own app. I posted a preview, a review, an interview, and update within a span of a few months. Well Multiplex is finally breaking out of the beta shell, with its final 1.0 release.
The app has certain come a long way since its public beta release. They’ve added other media support, better shortcut management, while adding polish throughout the user interface. The biggest update in the 1.0, is Set Management.
It was the biggest hurdle, and we think we’ve done right by it. Open the info for a movie, click on the Discs tab, and you can drag other movies right in to it, which automatically adds the discs from the second movie to the first. You can rename discs, drag-to-reorder them, drop discs from a set, etc. When a movie has more than one disc, it is “badged” letting you know. - Release Notes

So you can finally have all those Lord of the Rings discs tacked into one set in your Multiplex library. I’ve also been putting the app through its paces, and it is definitely more stable than it was while in beta. It didn’t crash in the three days I’ve been using 1.0.
Multiplex costs $25 for a license, but only until May 15th (after which it is said to go up to $35). This of course includes the 1.1 update which a whole lot of ‘streaming’ features that David mentioned in our interview. Trial available.
