iSight Screensavers put you in the Spotlight

Post image for iSight Screensavers put you in the Spotlight

isightI usually don’t go around hunting for screensavers, but I so happened to stumble upon these screensavers (okay someone emailed me the link). We did a screensavers post some time back, and while this is just one package, it’s more like 7 screensavers bundled into one.

What this about then? iSight Screensavers from Majic Jungle Soft (same guys who brought you FluidTunes), is a collection of 7 savers, designed around the iSight camera. What you get is Quartz graphics and effects rendered, triggered by your movement in front of the camera. Some of the effects (Fire, for instance) are very poor and cheezy, but some (like, Particles) are really fun to use. The Core Image filters (many of which are in Photo Booth) are also really gorgeous and produce some brilliant effects.

iSight Screensavers comes at $4.99 for the package. You can of course try em out before shelling out. On a totally unrelated note, we do have 3 licenses for giveaway. So leave a comment on how you like these savers, and we’ll pick out a winner. Standard giveaway rules apply. Video demo of the app after the break.

Those look pretty cool! I kinda wonder how processor intensive they are though.

Ok - I am impressed, I am not one for changing my screensaver all the time … but this rocks! I like the “Fluid” one the most … Thank you for the awesome new Screensaver.

Just downloaded a demo and showed it to guys at the hostel. This guy who had never talked to me earlier asked whether it would work in his Dell. It was kinda hard to say ‘No’, but then it was cool!

Awesome implementation, count me in the giveaway!

I actually had someone I know tell me about these shortly before I saw it on Smoking Apple’s Twitter account. He was really excited, although then I remembered he was using Windows Vista. I didn’t let him down lightly.

These things are epic.
