It's helpful to see the screenshots of the different FTP clients all in one place, but I'm not sure how much to trust the actual reviews, since they seem to value a pretty interface over a usable one. FTPing is about moving a file from one place to another, and if the window doesn't show both the source and destination, it's missing half the picture and going to be painful to use.

This 'review' is almost worthless. There is no substance to it.

A real review means taking the time to actually test out all the products and compare their performance and functionality. Cool and slick UI is all very well, but soon looses appeal when the app doesn't actually work at all, mysteriously misses files, or is so slow that you start tearing your hair out. FTP is part of my daily life, so I've been there and done that and it's not fun!

Two examples of really top notch products you've unfairly dismissed are both Fetch and Yummy. Both are rock solid performers in my experience. The same can't be said for any of the others, I'm afraid. All of them have problems, some of them serious.

When reviewing ftp clients it's helpful to look beyond feature lists and superficial beauty. Testing is good. Try uploading a web app like Wordpress or Joomla to your server. Time it. See if all the included files actually make it to the server. The slick looking and feature rich Cyberduck is dog slow. It's okay for a small site but not big ones. Filezilla has dropped files in a long upload. So much for free.

I have conducted tests like this every couple of years. The reason that so many web pros like Yummy is that it is far and away the fastest of the lot.
