PDF to Keynote: a Mac gem

by L.Bhat on January 7, 2009

My career is on the slide. No, don’t get me wrong - just that one of my professional hazards is having to make formal presentations. And hence the use of slides. Now that we have got the pun out of the way, here is the point. Sometimes I wish I could convert some presentations or documents which are in PDF format to Keynote.  Yes, I could use Skim and show the document in Presentation mode, but if I wanted to add slides of my own, it wasn’t possible. And then I discovered this little gem: PDF to Keynote

pdf-to-keynote

There’s no review to write, no reasons to explain, and no process to put down. Just choose the resolution, location and you have a Keynote document ready. Cool, isn’t it? And it’s free!

Annotations to a pdf added using Acrobat are not imported into PDF to Keynote.

Great article. I would love to read the PDF you used for your image about marketing Apple. Would you be willing to post it here? Thank you!

Thanks for the link Chris. Was an interesting read. (No thanks to you LBhat)

Downloaded the PDF to keynote app myself and I’m pleasantly surprised. My dad will love this app. Imagine presenting PDFs in a super slick slideshow! Nice. (Thanks to you Lbhat!)
