I’m was considering making my first foray into social networking. Three factors were greatly influencing this step;

1st – Apple’s iPod Touch (my first Apple)
2nd – Good reviews of the Twitter service
3rd – Highly rated Tweetie software from Atebits

Smoking Apples’s review of the software and interview with developer Loren Brichter has tipped the balance.

If all goes well, my wife and I will be ready to follow our granddaughter (1 year old this month) when she is able to send tweets.

Hmm. Looking at the comments I think I should buy this app. Too bad I don’t use twitter, but I still want to. Nice interview, good insights.

Tweetie was made by 1 guy? Seriously? Hats off to you sir, if you could pull this off by yourself. Indeed it is the best twitter app (or best app period) on the App Store. I used to use Twitterrific, but once I read the smoking review on Tweetie, I bought Tweetie. And have since made at least 5 more friends buy it. Splendid app and of course, thank you smoking for the interview. Happy new year!

I too, think of Tweetie as the best Twitter client on any platform. It’s my number 1 app in usage on my iPhone. I would also like to request a Mac version as well. Thanks Loren for a brilliant and elegant app.

My favourite app on the iPhone, and my favourite developer after this interview. Thanks Loren for the best app ever. You have truly undervalued the app, which could easily have sold for at least $4.99 or $6.99.
