Since the day it was released, until now, I have launched the Ego app on my iPhone. There’s something about keeping an eye on stats that keeps me sane. So what exactly does Ego do?
If you’re running a site, you obviously need to make sure your stats are doing good. We at Smoking Apples use Mint for our stats, but I also use the free Google Analytics engine for stats on my personal blog. Then there’s Feedburner, Twitter followers, Squarespace. What Ego does is it brings you all those stats in one single convenient location in a beautiful user interface, as I had mentioned earlier. Tap to change stats view from past hour, to day, to week. Tap feeds to see the number of feed readers increased over yesterday. Very brief, but oh so convenient. You can add as many widgets as you’d like, tracking multiple sites and twitter accounts.
Ego costs $1.99 at the App Store, and I can whole heartedly recommend it to any site owner needs a quick glance to know everything is doing just fine.
