It’s that time of the year again, and we have a new issue of our esteemed magazine, ready for you to download and read.
This issue however is quite special to us. Ever since the iPad was announced, a lot of people have been asking us whether we’re doing something toward making our content more at home on the iPad. Consider this our first step in that direction. The PDF—it’s still a PDF—is designed to fit just right on the iPad. Unfortunately, the default PDF reader doesn’t split pages appropriately, and adds a ghastly drop shadow around the page, which is why we recommend you using a dedicated PDF reader like Good Reader. As for Mac and iPhone users, you may continue to use whatever means you did before—it’s still just a PDF.
We didn’t of course forget about the content, which includes a feature on getting a cloud based workflow up and running, a selection of the best Mac applications, opinions from around the world, and much more. We hope you enjoy it.
The magazine, as usual, is a free no-strings-attached download. We’d love it if you could tell your friends about it. In fact, we’re giving away a bunch of codes for Good Reader, and Quickie, to add to the fun (just tweet with a link back to this page to enter). So go ahead and download it. We hope you enjoy it. Thanks.

New “Smoking Apples Magazine” looks really stunning on the iPad. The content is great, too. Good job, guys!
You’ve got your own url shortener!
That is awesome!
We’ve had that for a few months now. Getting one these days is not only easy, it’s also not too heavy on your pockets.
Nice looking on GoodReader. It would have been better if the guest columns too were of the same font.
Thanks.
Brilliant. Absoultely a pleasure to read on the ipad! And its got some amazing content too. Good works boys!
SA-peeps,
I am new to the Smoking Apples site and I find myself coming back again and again, to get solid reviews, info and now your fantastic (FREE?!) magazine.
The magazine is simply beautiful!
It just kills me that you’ve created an outstandingly-gorgeous piece of art, which interacts with the iPad just as a digital magazine should, AND it’s free?!?!
Perhaps ‘someone’ can explain why it is then, that we are expected to pony-up unreasonable sums of money for ‘shiny’ digital magazines, that don’t always interact as they should, live up to they hype, or ‘behave’ as promised.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your incredible work on this fabulous publication!
I look forward to becoming a ‘regular’ here.

Hi, really enjoying the content and design of the magazine! There’s a problem with downloading issues 1-4 though…
