Screencast: Web Development with Espresso

espresso-bannerMacRabbit’s latest kid on the block “Espresso” has been widely touted as the Coda killer. While I wouldn’t call such judgements so soon, as it’s still a little too early to tell. Coda is an established brand, while Espresso is just a few weeks old.

Espresso is not a bunch of apps thrown together. Instead, we looked at the needs of web developers and streamlined their workflow into one gorgeous, focused app. Fast and powerful editing, sleek projects, live preview (we make CSSEdit after all), awesome publishing and extensive synchronization tools. - MacRabbit

In this screencast I go over Espresso’s features, the user interface, and how it all plays out for your HTML editing work. Watch it here in the embedded YouTube video, or download the higher resolution file using the link below. You can also subscribe to our podcast and have these automatically downloaded into your iTunes library.

Awesome! I’ve got the MacHeist bundle and was hoping for Espresso to be unlocked. It’s too expensive to buy otherwise.

Superb screencast. I had been expecting a ‘gushing’ review which would have had me trying to migrate from Coda, but as you were showing a balance of positives and negatives I was able to make a judgement that, although promising, it’s probably not mature enough for me just yet.

Thanks Chris. We’d never try and convince you to buy something just for the sake of it (or for money). Glad you found this screen useful enough to make a decision.
