To decide whether or not the iPad was revolutionary enough to be revolutionary, four nerds had to have a sit down, putting their point across. With Aayush as the impartial host, Manan the anti-Apple Winboy, Yours Truly as the Apple apologist, and Ole Teucher to make sure we don’t exceed the realms of reality, we managed to pull off a 50 minute episode for your ears only. Warning: Intense fanboy wars could not be edited out of the show.

There aren’t any shownotes for this episode—it’s the iPad dude! You can hit the download button to have the 24MB AAC file trickle down to your downloads folder, or just subscribe in iTunes which is the better thing to do.

I don’t understand the general tone of this podcast. People who are never going to use the iPad are justifying not using it to those who will? And the conversation goes round and round. I love the quote by Manan - I don’t understand people who spend so much on Apple products - yes, of course, how dare they? After all, all you should consider cost only and not user interface or ease of use when you buy stuff, right? Anyway, we should hold out judgment until someone actually uses it.

I’m a recent Mac convert so far from being a fanboy but I have seen Mac bashers being just as obnoxious as Mac fanboys. And this is not commenting on any people in the podcast :)

PS. iPod was not revolutionary because it introduced digital music. MP3 players like Creative and Nomad existed before then. iPod (+ iTunes) was revolutionary because it changed the way music industry processed and sold music.
