wwdcWe’re finally here. D-Day. Just a couple of hours more to endure till Schiller takes the stage. We’ll be having our live chat during the event, but unfortunately none of us will be there to tell the story first hand. Here’s a roundup of the best Apple live blogs out there for you to follow.

  • Gizmodo: This is the one most of us follow. Hilarious commentary from Jason Chen, and excellent photography.
  • Engadget: Almost on par with Gizmodo if not better. Updates are finally shown newest first so you don’t have to keep scrolling.
  • gdgt: Ryan Block and Peter Rojas, the guys behind Gizmodo and Engadget in their own outfit. Generally fewer, more condensed updates than the above two.
  • Macworld: Jason Snell and Dan Moren (usually) provide commentary on the event. Very wordy, fewer pictures.
  • MacRumors: The last time MacRumors had their live chat it was hacked (followed by some hilarious updates). They’re back this time (after skipping an event in between) and hope to ward off the attacks with some added security. It’s a good live blog in any case.
  • Ars Technica: Always heard of it, never followed. I suppose it’s good.
  • Others: CNET, MacNNThe Mac Observer, Connect Reviews.

Phew! That’s a lot of live blogs! Well at least if one of the big players goes down there’s always someone to fall back to. We’ll see you at live.smokingapples.com then!
