If you’ve been holding back from buying a new Mac till iLife 09 ships, worry not, for Apple has introduced an ‘iLife Hardware Up-to-Date program’.

iLife ’09, a significant upgrade to Apple’s digital lifestyle applications, features updates to iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, and iWeb. If you’ve purchased a qualifying computer on or after January 6, 2009, that does not include iLife ’09, you can upgrade to iLife ’09 for US$9.95 plus tax.*

The offer is only good for US and Canada, and is not valid for open box systems and display macs sold at Apple stores. iLife 09 will ship by the end of January (some even say as soon as Jan 20th), and will cost $79 for the rest of us.
