[tweetmeme] It finally happened. After some tension in the twitterverse about the non-announcement of the unofficially confirmed event, Apple finally sent out press invites for the event. “Come see our latest creation” it says.
Can’t help but see the new tablet in there. Come what may, at least we know that it’s gonna be a colour device. [via Engadget]

That’s some utterly God-awful use of brushes. Makes me wonder as to why Apple couldn’t find a better way to suggest that the tablets or whatever it is they are announcing are going to be in multiple colors. Picture this: Steve Jobs, on stage, radiating as he says, “Apple iSlate, $1300, pink, fuschia, teal and lavender. Buy it bitches.” Humongous uproar. Steve Jobs richer by 1.4 billion. End of event.
I am still curious about the iphone 4 and if they are going to actually show the hardware or just announce that there will be an iphone 4 and not show it off. The tablet is going to be huge news as well as the “mystery” device. It’ll be good, I’ll be reading about it most of the 27th.
