Good news tonight! The Pixelmator team are finally done with their best piece of work yet, Pixelmator 1.3 ‘Tempo’. We reviewed the private beta back in September and it was already awesome back then. The final release is just builds upon that release, adding little bits, fine tuning controls, and making this release ready for the public.
The Pixelmator Team today released Pixelmator 1.3, codenamed Tempo, a third major update to the revolutionary GPU-powered image editing tool that provides everything needed to create, edit, and enhance still images. Available today as a free software update, Pixelmator 1.3 Tempo features major performance improvements: click-and-drag technology-based Magic Wand, Paint Bucket, and Magic Eraser tools; improved Hue and Saturation, Replace Color, and Colorize tools; Smart Palette Hide; and more.

We haven’t tested out the final release yet, but the we did receive a much improved version to the beta we reviewed and I can honestly say Pixelmator is ready for primetime.
