Picturesque 2.1 update release brings in UI refinements and bug fixes

We’ve reviewed Picturesque some time back, and now Acqualia software has released a solid .1 update to this already amazing app. If you haven’t checked out the review or are in the dark about this app, do take a look. It’s worth it.

With the 2.1 update, Picturesque now features a “Overwrite image” and “Save to Desktop” menu item for quickly editing images. For someone who does use Picturesque, this is a very handy feature. They’ve also added an Effects menu, with keyboard shortcuts to trigger effects on and off very quickly.

Regular users of Picturesque will notice a lot of UI refinements, like the way the Presets menu flies out, or that it shows you the full sized image in the window, the anti-aliasing of the perspectives, or the much much improved crop window. I’ve been told this update fixes a ton of bugs. Overall, a beautiful update to an already awesome application.

Picturesque costs $35 for a single user license, and a fully featured trial is available for everyone to download. Picturesque requires Mac OS X Leopard to run with it’s fancy core animation effects. The 1.0 Tiger version is also available for download.
