The 9th of September cannot arrive soon enough. It’s that time of the year when days just seem to drag and every one of them seems like another one backward. An Apple Special Event is more anticipated, at least by a seasoned Macboy (keep reading Smoking Apples and you’ll get there too), than even Christmas.
It has been a tradition for the past year that we get together, gather a few folks from outside, and organise an IM conference during these events. But this time round we will take it one step ahead. Join us in our Live Chat right on this blog using just your browser. It will be a very personal chat and everyone’s voice will be heard. You may, of course, follow up on any live-blog of your choosing while the event is live, whilst chatting with us about the various announcements as they happen.

WTF! Yahoo man! This thing is a resource hog, it’s already messing my machine with it’s refresh thing. Ah whatever!
If we did it on Yahoo!, it would be restricted only to people with Yahoo! IDs. Furthermore, only the invited attendees would be able to participate. We want this to be open to all.
This is the fist time we’re doing it. If it doesn’t work, we’ll switch to something else for Macworld Expo.
And how’s it a resource hog? At least on my machine, it’s working just fine. But then again, I have a Mac, so… :p

This isn’t resource hog. The frame thing is similar to that of YouTube frame. You might have a low speed net connection forcing this to take more time to load. You’ll notice substantial improvement in the loading time after the first visit.
Like Aayush said, with this in place more people can take part.

Well, the thing was apparently reloading the frame or something, not the page but I could see it waiting for request after the whole page loaded.
