I have NetShare installed on my iPhone running 2.1 and it works fine. I think you are mistaken. I even restored my iPhone and re-installed 2.1 setting up my iPhone as a new phone and NetShare still works fine!

Lucky you then! I personally never bought NetShare so I can't tell you first hand, but there have been reports of the application mysteriously disappearing from the iPhone and iTunes. Maybe Apple is having problems with their kill switch just as with MobileMe? :)

I had read a comment by someone who said that the Kill Switch would be "only" used to kill malicious apps. Oh well, Apple's being Apple again. No surprise.
