iPhone 2.2 Beta Brings in New Interface for Safari
The iPhone 2.2 beta has been released to developers recently and one of the subtle changes in this update is in the Safari interface.

The interface change (on the left), while not a big one by any stretch of the imagination, is driven by the need to display that Google search field throughout the interface. They have done away with the magnifying glass and replaced it with a Google search field, in a manner similar to how it’s displayed in landscape mode. The stop/refresh button has been moved right into the address field, saving a lot of space. Unfortunately, there is still no fullscreen web browsing feature that many were hoping for. Maybe in 3.0 then.
What other changes this version of the firmware brings us is not yet known as this release is very new. Of course, it is only for paid members of the Apple Developer Connection, so don’t go looking for ways to download it because you won’t find any.

where the hell is copy and paste, mms, and flash? This is a great phone; why would apple leave out these important features? If the iPhone is going to be the next business phone, apple needs to actually do some work and get off their lazy asses.
