tap-tap-coldplayColdplay is the best band in the world. I just can’t get enough of their music. Yellow, Amsterdam, Speed of Sound, everything. So when I came across the Tap Tap Coldplay Edition on the App Store, I had to try it!

First of all, the Tap Tap Revenge series is one of the best games on the App Store. It combines music, visuals, and touch to provide some stunning gameplay. I’ve had a copy of Tap Tap on my iPhone since the 1.0 version, moved on to the Nine Inch Nails edition, the Christmas edition, Tap Tap Revenge 2, and now the fabulous Coldplay edition.

Featuring 9 of Coldplay’s best tracks (who am I kidding, Coldplay doesn’t compose anything but the best). The 11 tracks go right from Lovers in Japan, Viva la Vida, Life in Technicolor II, Lost, from the new album, to classics like Yellow, Speed of Sound, Clocks, Fix You and In My Place. All this is presented in a brand new visual experience, with dynamic backgrounds including overlays of band images, different layouts for the boss tracks, which all adds to the experience.

The game has 5 modes, including kiddy, easy-medium-hard, and an extreme mode. Let’s just say my fingers are fast enough for hard, so I didn’t even dare to attempt extreme. Perhaps it’s extremely easy, I wouldn’t know. The game is built upon the TTR2 engine, which includes the shakes, tap and hold, and better overall visuals.

From one Coldplay fan to another, you must play this game. For those of you who aren’t Coldplay fans, you need to get your ears checked (I get violent when it comes to Coldplay). $4.99 at the App Store. Viva la Vida!
