Post image for Dropbox finally drops into the App Store

dropbox

A little over a month after being sent for approval, the Dropbox iPhone app finally showed up on the App Store. Dropbox is one of the most powerful personal file backup and sharing services out there; it’s what iDisk should have been. Dropbox allows you to automatically sync up a folder on your hard drive with the cloud, keep multiple versions, and easily share any file with any number of users.

The iPhone app lends to the whole dropbox experience, bringing all your files to your hands. You can view your online files, download files and keep em there for offline viewing, and share those files via email. It’s almost like the iDisk app. Of course, far more useful given the way people use Dropbox. There’s also a photo/video uploading feature, which can snap new shots or access them from your library.

If you’re a Dropbox user, this app is a no brainer. It’s free. Just download it and have easy access to your files. If you’re not a Dropbox user, and would like to have your files online, I highly recommend you give the service a try. You get 2GB free on start, and you can pay for additional space thereon.

Or/and you can get more space by leading more people to dropbox.
Like this:

This is my referral link.
By this you can get 250mb plus space/people.
I love this app, and I’m using it for ages.
The price of the extra spaces are not high either.

SM, keep up the good reviews! ;)

Yeah, it’s free, but you can’t edit anything and you can’t move stuff around once you get it in the app. I’d much rather have Dropbox open up their API so I can access Dropbox stuff in Air Sharing Pro.

Oh, and I was gonna write a review on this tonight. Thanks for cutting me off at the knees.

I only wish they would let you pinch zoom on images. This would be a great addition and benefit people like me that use Dropbox to show people proofs but I guess the email link feature works in this way but proofing via iPhone is sweet.

It is good that the app has been finally approved though I see no reason for apple to take that long time. The app though it is a great assistence … it lacks sharing option available in the sugarsync app. There is no sorting feature or arranging option. The offline feature is pretty cool but again you can only OFFLINE file but not folder …
