If you’re finding precious home screen real estate vanishing in front of your eyes, ‘5 Games in 1” aka 5 Fingers is here to make life a little easier. Five app developers got together and created the first ever bundle on the App Store. The bundle includes Blackbeard’s Assault, Burnball, Chopper, Sneezies, and Up there. Bundle or not, here’s a look at each of these games…
Blackbeard’s Assault ($1.99) »
A pirate themed game, including some sort of story to back it up, Blackbeard’s Assault has almost nothing to do with pirates. It’s a fast paced game, and a little hard to explain. You need to match three or more colours to get them off your screen. The snaky line of balls slowly creeps on towards to the X mark, and you have to prevent that by shooting balls from cannons which change colour.

It’s very engaging, with good sound effects, visuals, and use of the vibrator when necessary. Very entertaining when you’re just sitting around doing nothing (like right now).
Burnball ($0.99)
In Burnball, Evil monsters have turned the planet grey, and it’s your job to get it back. You, of course, are a ball, which you control using the accelerometer. You basically ‘paint’ colour over the greyscale screen, while avoiding the monsters.
I didn’t find this very entertaining and after a level or two just gave up. There’s better games to play.
Sneezies ($1.99)
Here’s a truly fun game to play! At first I didn’t quite like Sneezies, but after a while you kinda like the idea of saving those little gophers (or whatever they are) stuck inside bubbles. So you basically have a bunch of gophers stuck inside soap bubbles, and the only way to save them is to make them sneeze. You’re the one who ‘taps in’ the sneezy powder, and they’re the ones who sneeze their way out.

The game isn’t ‘challenging’ as such, but the awesome graphics, the soothing music, and the sneezing of those little gophers is just too cute. Definitely a good add to the bundle, or a good buy if you’re not into buying bundles.
Chopper ($0.99)
One of the first games on the App Store, Chopper is an action based helicopter game. You’re given missions and you need to fly around completing them. Controlling the chopper is done entirely with the accelerometer, and it’s surprisingly stable doing so. Some missions include you picking up people stuck in some flood, others require you to shoot down some terrorists.

It’s fairly entertaining and challenging, something that you can amuse yourself with for a while.
Up There ($1.99)
Another gem in the App Store, Up There is simple yet so challenging. All you have to do is guide a helium balloon to its destiny. Up! Along the way you will have to tilt your phone in case it gets stuck under some bookshelves, beams or tree branches. It’s very fast, challenging (with global scores support), and is definitely a welcome addition to the 5 Fingers bundle.
Overall, the 5 Games in 1 bundle is a great addition to your iPhone. It’s not just a round up of crap games but ones you will actually enjoy playing. That is, if you like playing such itty-bitty games. At $4.99 it’s quite a discount from the regular combined price of ~$9. Plus it saves valuable homescreen space.
