India: Pricing for Apple’s new Hardware announced

With unprecendented speed, the Apple India PR has sent us the pricing for the new iMacs—they’re affordable! (All prices are MRP)

The different iMac SKUs:

The 21.5 inch iMac with a 3.06Ghz Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive, priced at Rs. 64,900.
The next model, 21.5 inch with a 3.06Ghz CPU, and an ATi 4670 256MB discreet graphics, 1TB hard drive, is priced at Rs. 79,900. (I wonder if there’s a mistake here and it’s not the 3.33Ghz CPU)
The 27 inch model, with a 3.0Ghz processor, 4GB of RAM, ATi 4670 discreet graphics, 1TB hard drive, priced at Rs. 89,000 (wow!)
The 27 inch, with 2.66Ghz quad core Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, ATi 4850 discreet graphics, 1TB hard drive, priced at Rs. 1,06,900

The new wireless Magic Mouse, which is bundled along with the new iMacs, is also available at Rs. 3890, and works with any other Mac.

The MacBook was also updated, featuring a unibody albeit plastic shell and new insides, and is priced at Rs. 56,900.

I just got phone call from Apple Asia/PAC & Japan confirming that the dates are relatively around 22nd November. In fact, Apple is waiting for Indian Government’s Certification for Importing of the new Apple products in India. I don’t know when Quad Cores are arriving in India? I hope they reach India by 22nd November along with C2Ds…

Kunal November 20, 2009 at 7:57 pm: The 21.5-incher with ATI discreet graphics does indeed sport a 3.06 Ghz processor (NOT 3.33) No mistake there. On pays a 15K premium for 500 GB of extra storage and the graphics card.

Add VAT to the price - I believe it’s 4% in most states.

I wish Apple would come up with one of their ‘Smart Xchange’ offers so that I can get rid of my trusty old eMac. they won’t, but the world lives on hope!

27” quad core i5 that i am waiting for will score nearly 7000 as I believe.
