Apple india is selling 2g models in the case of 3g models. As you cant distinguish a 2g or 3g model simply by looking, they are taking the advantage of it. Only by the model no. only one can distinguish. Though i have mailed a complaint to apple india. But i am a bit skeptic after reading all these posts, if they would attend my problem. Anyways, if nothing happens i would move to the consumer forum. So my advice to all who ever is going to buy something from apple, please research about it a little bit. otherwise samething may happen to you, as it happened with me. I do believe after 3 hours of light browsing the mac can burn a hole on my lap, while I keep the VAIO on all day long but there is no problem with heating. My comp guys told me its just a bad device! Well if all the hype about apple is to manufacture pretty devices which have serious performance issues, I don't want it, more so coz I get better customer support from the sony guys who actually care about my user experience and count on us spreading the word about their work... Also my friend got the iphone 3G for 36k and I got an android(i7500) for 18k about the same time... I see no difference in the product, dare say I actually think the android is better in some aspects, eg; camera, support, multitasking, ease of service and oh, its completely legally covered by warranty at half the price in India (oh and I also like its looks)!
