Ever since Phil Schiller, at the WWDC 2009 Keynote Address, announced that the technical specifications for their notebook line-up were being upgraded and that they were lowering the prices as well, our inbox has been buzzing with emails asking us about the updated pricing for India.
The prices in India are generally considered to be on the higher side from an Indian’s perspective, so these updated prices for India are going to come as a slight relief for those who’ve been waiting to purchase a notebook for themselves. While the 15-inch MacBook Pros, 17-inch MacBook Pros and the MacBook Air all enjoy price reductions, the prices for the 13-inch MacBooks (now called MacBook Pros) have risen up. The tables below lists the new prices for the notebook line-up in India. Remember, these are just MRPs and the actual cost would be plus any additional applicable taxes.

These new models will be available after 4-weeks through Apple’s usual retailer chain. Even though the prices have been reduced, as usual, they’re still higher than in the US. However, the fact that they have been reduced gives us some hope for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS pricing. That, however, is entirely Airtel’s and Vodafone’s call.
Does the new pricing attract you enough to purchase a notebook now?
