I’m sure some of you guys must be a little bored of all this iPhone talk which seem to have taken over Smoking Apples (and our like Apple universe, in general). So I asked bribed our Editor to publish this piece. Yeah, that’s me, always mindful of our dear, wonderful readers.

It’s widely known that Macs get featured in a lot of Hollywood movies and TV shows. In the movie The Transformers, there’s a scene where there’s a total blackout and all electronic items fail… except for a MacBook Pro! Barney, in the TV Show How I Met your Mother, uses the legen—wait for it—dary iPhone and gets the attention of ‘will-die-for’ hot Robin.

Coming back to the story, it seems to me that Bollywood has also been bitten by the Mac bug. Suddenly, we’re hearing more and more gossip about actors having and wanting a MacBook over a pink Sony Vaio.

Aamir Khan produced and directed last year’s blockbuster flick Taare Zameen Par and, due to public demand, he’s dubbing the movie in Tamil and Telugu. Suriya (a leading Tamil Actor) is dubbing his voice in Tamil and Aamir is now shooting for Ghajini where Suriya played the lead in the Tamil version.

Suriya has revealed that Aamir Khan consults with him about the role in Ghajini and how he’d prepared himself. Aamir inspired Suirya to muscle it up a notch and is wonking on getting himself a six-pack too. Apparently, according to Suriya, they’re like brothers.

So what did Suriya do to be gifted a MacBook Air? Hear it from himself:

I dubbed for ‘Vaal Natchithiram,’ the Tamil version of ‘Taare Zameen Par’. I fully understood it only while dubbing, because I don’t know Hindi. He was so touched that I didn’t take money for it. He got me a Macbook Air.
