While some people considered this a boring keynote, those who were watching the feeds at MacRumorsLive seemed to be much amused! The popular mac site was hacked by some clever hackers, who didn’t hold back from feeding in everything from bad language to false statements. They seemed to be particularly interested in making the public believe that Steve Jobs was dead.

The site was taken down five minutes after this began, as the admins couldn’t stop the hackers from doing what they do best. They did come back up later only to be taken down again.

MacRumors has since apologised in a short post, stating that it was only the live site which got hacked. Macenstein has a screenshot of the activity, one which we will advise you against if you are the least bit sensitive about bad language.

MacRumors Live is an excellent feed for following the keynote updates and it was very sad to see it go down. We hope the next time all the security holes are plugged and we can enjoy a better keynote (with Jobs all healthy again!).
