If you look at the Xbox/Xbox 360, the thing that sticks out most is its online community. The Xbox Live community has been the biggest part of Microsoft’s success in gaming. This is where Apple could leverage the iPhone into being the dominant handheld system. Let’s take a look at why this would be dominant, and how it could be accomplished.

So far, iPhone gaming has accomplished getting the ‘regular’ user hooked on to 5 minute affairs with cute games. But given the iPhone 3GS’s improved performance (along with the next gen iPod Touch), a gaming network as Brandon suggests would definitely making gaming a serious thing on the iPhone.
