Coversutra Turns 3, Drops to $5 →
Coversutra, one of the nifty iTunes controllers out there has just turned 3 and to celebrate that, Sophiestication Software are dropping the price down to $4.99 for the next couple of days. There may be a bunch of different, new and feature-rich controllers out there, but I’ve always been a Coversutra user, never having felt the need to look around for anything else.

Coversutra was overpriced for a long time. Now the price dropped juts because I can assume it’s not selling one copy a month. TunesArt is much, much better, free, and with a developer that all the time are in touch with the users. Also Bowtie is a good option, and also free. The arrogance of Sophestication is too big, and now they’re out of the game. The same that happened with Inquisitor and the developer. It’s a shame, they had a lot of potential, not now anymore.
Hey Pablito,
calm down. Where the hell is Sophiestication arrogant?! I don’t get it. If you think the price is too high, that’s ok – don’t buy it. But complaining here and telling dumb stories just show that you’ve no idea about how good it’s sold.
Oh – by the way – I’m not involved in that comapny – before you ask. I’m just a happy user of Coversutra.
Seeing a pricedrop as “it’s not well sold” is out of my understanding – really. Try to think before you post such a bullshit, Pablito.
Ciao

Hi Dennis. Sorry, I didn’t mean to be unkind here. I agree with you. Pardon me.
But to keeping going, Coversutra is not anymore the best in the category (it was for a while I believe). TunesArt is much much much better and free. Even $5 the software doesn’t worth Coversutra right now.
Have a nice one. Pablito
ps. contact the developer to see how “nice” she can be with you. Good luck. I had not.
I don’t know about ‘Sophiestication’ being arrogant, since she’s always been most courteous whenever I’ve sent her an email. What I do agree with Pablito is on, is that the application is out of the game. It sure was the best at what it did back in the days, but ever since better applications like Bowtie (hadn’t heard of TunesArt) showed up for free, CoverSutra started to show its irrelevance. Sophiestication has been concentrating a lot more on iPhone app development, that they’ve kind of abandoned CoverSutra.
$20 for the application is quite unreasonable—$5 might make sense for someone who needs that gorgeous music search.
Sophie has always been nice and responsive. Until today I never even heard of TunesArt. From the screenshots it looks almost too similar to CoverSutra so since I own Sophie’s app I won’t need to try it. New iTunes controller keep popping up every month it seems, I pretty much settled for CoverSutra now.
Fetching lyrics is a good excuse to change. I swear.
Actually that would be a setting I’d disable (:
ahhhh okdok
