Apple responds to Google’s claims of rejection →

According to Rene Ritchie at The iPhone Blog, Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris responded to the un-redacted Google’s letter to the FCC where Google claimed their app was rejected:

We do not agree with all of the statements made by Google in their FCC letter. Apple has not rejected the Google Voice application and we continue to discuss it with Google.

Hopefully one of these two have some tangible evidence backing their claims.

note:

…replacing the iPhone’s core mobile telephone functionality and Apple user interface with its own user interface …. Google Voice application replaces Apple’s Visual Voicemail by routing calls through a separate Google Voice telephone number that stores any voicemail, preventing voicemail from being stored on the iPhone,… the iPhone user’s entire Contacts database is transferred to Google’s servers… obtain any assurances from Google that this data will only be used in appropriate ways….
