Apple no longer censors the dictionary: Ninjawords at the App Store →

For those of you who remember the whole Ninjawords dictionary censorship debacle, what with Phil Schiller himself emailing John Gruber of Daring Fireball, the 1.1 update is out and features a tasty bullet in its release notes:

Censorship removal: Apple said it’s OK for us to publish to the App Store without limiting Ninjawords.

They’ve also included audio pronunciations (requires network access). It’s still the dictionary I use on my iPhone [review], and at $1.99, gets my hearty recommendation, censored or not. I gave the 1.1 update a run for its money, and yes, all the words you use in your daily exchange of dialog are included—with examples and pronunciations. Oh what fun!
